Ways to Love Yourself

You shall love your neighbor as you love yourself.” – Matthew 22:37

How can you love someone if you don’t love yourself? One step to live a healthy lifestyle is to love yourself. Loving yourself is taking care and caring for yourself. It means taking care of your health and strengthen yourself. When you love yourself, you can conquer all the obstacles and challenges in your life. You’re always being there for yourself.

When you love yourself, you will discover the worthy of happiness, abundance and success. You will know that you must have friends and family and deserve a good things in life.

As you love yourself, you will learn to love others and know the deeper relationship with others. You don’t seek emotional strength of others to keep you going because you have yourself.

Some ways to love yourself

  1. Taking care of yourself. You must be living a healthy lifestyle including enough sleep, exercise, and healthy foods.
  2. Treat yourself special. Each day, you must nurture yourself like being quiet in prayer, go to the gym, listen to your favorite music, enjoy a long hot bath, take a walk to the beach, read a good books, watch favorite movies, get massage and relax, stare sunset and stars at night and many more.
  3. Know what you need and express it. Act accordingly to what you need and express yourself what is to be right.
  4. Make a list of good things about yourself. If you’re having problem finding the nice things about yourself, think of the value of your friends and see if those things are existed to you. Jot it down and read it to feel good about yourself.
  5. Feel positive about yourself. You must know that you are unique; there’s no person are the same.
  6. Ask things your friends like about you and write it down and read if when you feel down.
  7. Respect yourself by saying “no” without guilt which you believe what is right for you.

Without self-love, there is less care for physical, emotional and mental health. If you don’t have self-love, at the end of the day, you may feel tired and stress. You are always ending up of relying with other persons for your value and self-worth.

Self-nurturing is a very powerful tool for improving your self-esteem and making you feel good about yourself. So, it’s time to loving yourself; it is a basis of self-esteem and self-worth.
