Chicken Tinola Recipe
Chicken Tinola is one of my daily menu in our kitchen, I consider it very nutritious and affordable. I usually prepare chicken tinola for our lunch.
Ingredients:
2 to 4 chicken breasts, cut into serving pieces
1 piece medium sized green or unripe papaya, peeled and cube (can substitute with chayote
3 minced cloves garlic
1 chopped medium-sized onion
1 small ginger, cut into stripe
2 cups of water (can be depended how much broth do you want)
1/4 cup chili leaves (dahon ng sili)
1 tbs. oil
Salt
Procedures:
1. In medium sauce pan, heat oil and sauté onion, garlic and ginger until and soft.
2. Add and sauté chicken for about 3 to 5 minutes.
3. Add some water.
4. Bring to boil and simmer until the chicken is tender.
5. Add the papaya and simmer again until the papaya is tender.
6. Add salt to your desired taste and put in the chili leaves.
7. Remove from heat and serve hot.
