Chicken Adobo Recipe

I cooked chicken adobo dish as my daily menu in my kitchen because it is very simple and easy to prepare.   Adobo is considered a national dish of the Philippines. It is best serve with steam rice.


Ingredients:

1/2 kilo chicken, cut into serving pieces
2 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of vinegar
5 gloves of garlic, crushed
1/4 cup soy sauce
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon cooking oil

Procedures:

  1. In a casserole, combine water, chicken, vinegar, and garlic. Bring to boil and simmer for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is tender.
  2. Remove the chicken from the sauce and put it in plates or bowl and set aside the sauce or broth.
  3. Fry the chicken until brown on all sides.
  4. Transfer the chicken to a casserole with sauce and add soy sauce and simmer again for 5 minutes.
  5. Add salt if desire.
  6. Remove from heat and serve.
